IL 42nd Inf Co I. Born 29 Nov 1841 in Sweden. Civil War: Age 20. Entered service in Jul 1861 in Illinois. Wounded in the battles of Stone’s River and of Resaca, Georgia. Lieutenant. Discharged Jan 1866. Post war: Died at age 76 on 26 Dec 1917 in East Sioux Falls, South Dakota, of pyelonephasos.
