Enlisted for three years on 3 Oct 1861 at Beloit and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 13 Dec 1861. Assigned as Corporal 1 Jan 1862. Was with the provision transport from Stevenson, Alabama, on 13 Oct 1863. Seriously wounded in his left shoulder at New Hope Church, Georgia, 27 May 1864 and sent to hospital. Later sent to hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, and mustered out there on 13 Jan 1865. Post war: In 1886, Iver O. Myhre of Co B (sic) was living in High Lake, Iowa. In 1893, he was living in Graettinger, Iowa. Died there in 1905.
