Took part in the battles of Gravelly Run, Virginia, 31 Mar 1865, and Five Forks, Virginia, 1-2 Apr 1865. Was at the surrender of General Lee’s army, 9 Apr 1865. Sick 25 Apr 1865. Discharged from the service 6 Jun 1865 at Washington DC.
