WI 12th Inf Co C. Residence: Perry, Dane County, Wisconsin. Civil War: Age 19. Enlisted Oct 1861. Private. Re-enlisted for three years on 1 Jan 1864 at Natchez, Mississippi. Fought at Vicksburg, Mississippi. Wounded and sent home. Post war: He was granted a pension of $18 a month because of a wound to his left wrist.
