WI 14th Inf Co I. Residence: La Crosse, La Crosse County, Wisconsin. Born in Norway. Civil War: Farmer. Age 18. Unmarried. Gray eyes, light brown hair, fair complexion, 5’9½”. Enlisted for three years on 25 Feb 1864 at La Crosse. Mustered the same day. Recruit. Private. Was all through the campaign around Atlanta, in the battle of Nashville and the pursuit of Hood’s army.
