TX 31st Cav Co B. CSA. Born “Christopher Pedersen Holtet” on 14 Jun 1841 at Stange, Norway. Civil War: Enlisted for the war on 2 Apr 1862 from Bosque County, Texas. Private. Promoted to Sergeant in 1863. Absent with leave from 2 Aug 1863 to 6 Feb 1864. He was sick in camp during March and April 1865; then moved to a hospital in Houston, Texas. Post war: Died 15 Sep 1930 in Bosque County [One source says he died in Grant County, Minnesota].
