WI 15th Inf Co K. Residence: Freeborn County, Minnesota. Civil War: Age 22. Unmarried. Enlisted for three years on 20 Jan 1862 in Freeborn County and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 11 Feb 1862. Private. Seriously wounded at Chickamauga, Georgia, 19 Sep 1863, and sent to a hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Was in St. Louis, Missouri, in October and December, 1864. Sent to Veterans Reserve Corps. Still absent due to his wounds when Company K was mustered out.
