Private. “Improperly assigned, never reported to Co.” Discharged from the service 24 May 1865. Post war: Married to Malena C. Died 17 Jul 1896 at Center Point, South Dakota, at age 53. Buried in Meldahl Lutheran Cemetery, Irene, South Dakota, lot 63, grave 6.
