MI 34th Inf Co C. Born in Oslo, Norway, 6 Sep 1877. Came to America at an early age. Spanish-American War: Enlisted 26 Apr 1898. Private. Married to Anna Dorothy (1879-1972) on 14 Dec 1899 at Muskegon, Michigan. Nine children. Post war: The couple moved to Bonner County, Idaho, about 1903. Tugboat operator, dock builder.
