The Olson family settled in Christiania, Dane County, Wisconsin. Ole Thompson moved to Decorah, Winneshiek County, Iowa, and worked in a store. Civil War: Age 21. Enlisted 5 Feb 1862. Mustered 10 Mar 1862. Private. Died of disease 22 Jun 1862, Corinth, Mississippi.
