IL 90th Inf Co G. Born 23 Apr 1826 at Voss, Norway, son of Sjur Gulleiksen Vike and Sigvor Larsdatter Lie. He came to America with a brother, Gulleik, on “Juno”, which sailed from Bergen and arrived in New York on 14 Jul 1843. They came to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Nils moved to Chicago, then to Woodstock, McHenry County, Illinois. He was married in March 1849 to Anna Olsdatter Istad (1827-1897). Six children.
