WI 15th Inf Co D. Residence: New Lisbon, Juneau County, Wisconsin. Civil War: Age 28. Unmarried. Enlisted for three years on 28 Oct 1861 at New Lisbon, and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 8 Dec 1861. Private. Wounded and taken prisoner in Battle of Stone’s River, Tennessee, 31 Dec 1863. Sent to St. Louis, Missouri, to be exchanged. Sick in Nashville, Tennessee, from 28 Jun 1863 and after 31 Oct 1863. Sick in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 29 Nov 1863. Furloughed to Wisconsin in 1864, “and has not been heard from since”.
