Disappeared on 2 Mar 1862, but rejoined the Company on 4 Jun 1862 and was assigned to the Quartermaster department at Mississippi River Island No. 10 on the 11th of June. Sick in Iuka, Mississippi, 28 Aug 1862, and in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on 17 Sep 1862. Became unfit for service and was discharged for disability at Louisville, Kentucky, on 23 Oct 1862.
