Turned and carved from one piece of wood with Hallingdal style rosemaling.
Bowl was painted by Ola Brennehaugen who was born in 1840 and lived in Ål, Hallingdal, Norway until he emigrated to the United States sometime between 1870 and 1875. He was a student of Ola Bjella, a famous rosemaler. –Nils Ellingsgard, 2004
