The banner was used by the Høyland-Sandneslaget, a sub-lag of the National Stavanger-Amt Laget, for their annual meetings in America.
The front of the banner features a scroll and oval with a stylized forest scene that has been appliquéd and embroidered. The forest scene is flanked by a woman and man in work dress. On the back side, there is an embroidered fjord and factory scene outlined with gold leaves.
