Bentwood Box

Bentwood box. Top and bottom secured to sides with seven diagonal wooden pins which are hidden in carved geometric designs around the sides. A wide band of irregular curvilinear design around sides of top, and of vertical scoring around sides of bottom. A six-point compass drawn design is carved on top.
Box was brought to Duluth, Minnesota from Hjartdal, Telemark in 1907 by Ragnhild Haatvit.
