Pair of corner chairs with Dragon Style carving. Turned legs and supports for arms and back in the shape of large beads. Curved back above back corner of seat extends to form arms. Dragon head carved on the front of each arm. Square seat with chip carved apron. Upholstered seats, one is a woven geometric design, the other is similar but in the klostersøm technique, in orange, brown, and cream.

Made by Norsk Husflid as part of the revival of Norwegian woodcarving in the Dragon Style, influenced by the excavations of the Viking ships in Norway in the 1890s. This chair style was made between about 1895 and 1905 and was referred to as the Dragon Chair (dragestolen).
