Coverlet woven in Telemarksvev. Hand-woven in two vertically joined sections. Two-ply natural linen warp sett 36-40 epi. Foundation weft of same linen as warp. Pattern weft of a two-ply wool, probably spelsau. Woven in traditional Telemark-type overshot weave with repeated elongated lemon-shaped motifs in bands of various colors. Weft fringe along side selvedges. Warp selvedges have rolled, machine-stitched edge.
