The coverlet was woven in one section. The warp is a tight twist natural wool which appears two-ply. The weft is a coarser two-ply wool, probably spelsau, and may possibly be home-dyed, but with chemical dyes. Warp sett ca. 8 epi. Woven in krokbragd (boundweave) in double-point structure except for single-point krokbragd along selvedges. The ends have overcast rolled hems.
