Overshot weave in skillbragd, or pick-up technique. Wool on natural linen ground. Eight-petal flower design. Change of colors of center squares is hand inlay. The sparlaken design of framed rectangles (rather than plain stripes) in the center indicates that this coverlet was probably used as a coffin cover or altar cloth.
