This duvet cover, or dynetrekk, came from Ålesund, Sunnmøre, Norway. Locally this type of cover was known as randaseng (striped bed). The warp is cotton or linen, and there is a single-ply wool ground and pattern weft. A satin weave technique was used.

There are front and back panels. The front panel has stripes with extensivesjønbragd (inlay) and ikat (tie-dyed yarn) bands. The back panel has a gray ground and multicolored striped bands. There is an opening at one half of one end.
