Sigvard Mohn was born in Northfield, Minnesota in 1891, to St Olaf College’s first president, Thorbjørn N. Mohn. He lived in New York pursuing his career as an artist and, during WWII, as an architect with Douglas Aircraft. He exhibited at the Chicago Norwegian Club in 1924. When he retired, he returned to the city of his birth. Mohn died in Rice County, Minnesota in 1972.
