These gloves were knit using a natural-colored wool. There are knit lace patterns on the backs, along thumbs, and around the wrists.
These gloves belonged to Ingeborg Rogndokken, who was born in Valdres, Norway in 1827. She emigrated to the United states in 1857. This type of glove is known as brudevotter, or bride’s gloves, so they were probably worn by Ingeborg at her wedding.
