Steel knife set in wooden handle with carved acanthus details ending in a lion’s head. The sheath is covered with a similar carving and has a brass sleeve at the top with attached ring for hanging.
Used in the home of John Anderson in Chicago, Illinois. Anderson was the publisher of the Norwegian language newspaper, SKANDINAVEN, followed by his son, Louis M. Anderson.
