A newspaper or letter holder that is carved in wood. There is a scroll design on top, birds and branches on box, and apple blossoms and leaves on bottom. The box is attached by four screws through the back.
Tarkjil Landsverk (1859-1945) was born in Seljord, Telemark, Norway and immigrated to Highland Prairie, Minnesota in 1884.
