Levine Thorfin (Flexie) Flexhaug was born in Treelon, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1918. Flexhaug was an itinerant self-taught landscape painter who made and sold his paintings on the spot in national parks, resorts, department stores, restaurants, and bars across western Canada from the late 1930s to the 1960s. He generally painted variations of the same mountain scene and signed his work “Flexie” with the date. Flexhaug died in Climax, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1974.
