This hand-spun and hand-knit petticoat was brought to the United States by Ole and Marita (Martha) Olsdatter Nilsson Hiller in 1894. It has an A-line shape with scalloped hem. The fabric-lined waistband has a single button closure. The string tied to the buttonhole may have been added to allow the waist to expand.
