This spoon, which was made by Jacob Nielsen, was brought to the United States in 1825 by Ole Johnson who came on the Sloop “Restauration.”

Jacob Nielson established his goldsmith shop in Bragernes, Drammen, Norway in 1687. In 1714, he gave his shop to his son. The shop was last mentioned in the city records in 1720.
