Spoon with a short broad handle and broad shallow bowl rounding to soft point. Incised (kolrosing) decoration of floral motifs on the handle, as well as the front and back of the bowl. Inside of the bowl has a large chicken and two smaller birds beneath inscription.

Belonged to Stine Marie Midtfields and Torjus Thompson near Westby, Wisconsin. Torjus Torjusen/Thompson was born in 1828 in Telemark and came with his family to Wisconsin in 1849.
