Tankard

Stave constructed tankard with inset base. One stave has a natural branch extension which forms the spout. Attached ornately carved side handle, with wood hinge on top, controls domed cover with mushroom shaped finial. Lower body is wrapped with six branches and neck with ten closely space branches. Top interior closed except for rectangular hole along which a wood pin slides, automatically closing top when tankard is tilted for pouring.
