Inscription: G. Munthe for designer Gerhard Munthe woven in upper right corner. DNH, for workshop Den Norske Husflidsforening woven in lower right corner. De 3 Brodre (title of piece, The Three Brothers) woven along the lower border.

Designed by Gerhard Munthe. Presented to the Lutheran Deaconess Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill, by King Haakon VI and Queen Maude.
