Oscar B. Erickson was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1883. He studied at the Milwaukee Art League, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Woodstock (NY) summer school. He was a commercial artist, painter, and engraver, active in Milwaukee and St. Paul, Minnesota before moving to Chicago. Eleanor Roosevelt bought two of his artworks in a Brown County Art Gallery Association exhibit (probably in Chicago). Erickson died in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1972.
