Trunk with high arched cover and simple iron brackets on corners. The front of trunk has a heart shaped key plate. Valdres style rosemaling with symmetrical rose motifs on two panels of lid and front on a black background.

Inscription: Gunild Guttorms Datter Haaen [or Hagen] 1833.

The painter worked in Valdres, Hemsedal, Gol, and Lerdal. Possibly Torstein Gudbrandsen Engen from Øystre Slidre, born 1805, or Helge Olsen Kvale of Vestre Slidre, son of Ola Hermundsen Berge. –Nils Ellingsgard, 1979
