He came to America with his parents and three siblings on the “Præciosa”, which sailed out of Skien, Telemark, and reached New York on 22 Aug 1845. Civil War: Farmer. Age 30. Blue eyes, light hair, fair complexion, 5’6½”. Enlisted for one year on 26 Aug 1864 at Janesville, Wisconsin. Mustered there the same day. Bounty $100. Private. Post war: Married Inger Rognholt.
