He came to Amerrica with his parents and two siblings in 1848. They came to Manitowoc Rapids, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Tobias was married on 6 Aug 1854 to Anlaug Olsdatter Nerison. Five children. Civil War: Farmer. Age 33. Blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5’11”. Drafted. Enrolled for one year on 30 Sep 1864 at Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Mustered the same day. Private.
