Private. Sick in Springfield, Kentucky, 7 Oct 1862. In hospital at Bowling Green, Kentucky. Taken prisoner near Bardstown, Kentucky, where he had been left behind because of his illness. Paroled to General Lew Wallace, at a camp in Ohio, 1863. Served on military police duty in Columbus, Ohio, on the 1st, 4th and 11th of April 1863. Transferred to Veteran Reserve Corps, 15 Jan 1864.
