WI 15th Inf Co H. Residence: Rising Sun, Crawford County, Wisconsin. Civil War: Age 22. Unmarried. Enlisted for three years on 22 Oct 1861 at Madison, Wisconsin, and mustered there on 13 Feb 1862. Private. Wounded at Stone’s River, Tennessee, 31 Dec 1862, and sent to hospital and to the Convalescent Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Later, sent north. Assigned to the Veterans Reserve Corps 1 Mar 1864. When his term of service expired, he was discharged at Nashville from the 160th Company, 2nd Battery, of the Veterans Corps.
