From Hitterdal, Telemarken, Norway. Born 2 Apr 1827 in Heddal, Norway, possibly a son of Harald Haraldsen Tinne and Mari Ottersdatter. He came to America on “Salvator”, which sailed from Porsgrunn and arrived in New York in July 1843. He came to Hartland Township, Freeborn County, Minnesota. He married Asloug (1831?-?).
