Private. Absent in arrest at Mississippi river Island No. 10 since 17 May 1862. Named Sergeant. Taken prisoner at Chickamauga, Georgia, 20 Sep 1863. Held in a prison at Richmond, Virginia; then sent to the prison at Andersonville, Georgia, where he died of diarrhea on 6 Aug 1864. Buried in Andersonville Cemetery, grave 4875. Entered on Roll of Honor 14 Feb 1865.
