Died of chronic diarrhea in U.S. General Hospital No. 8 at Nashville, Tennessee, on 9 Nov 1863. Buried in National Cemetery; section E, grave 185. He was entered on the Roll of Honor for the 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, 20th Army Corps.
