Married 9 Oct 1845 to Gunhild Kirstine Larsdatter Mo. Came to America with his wife and infant son on “Superb”, which sailed from Skien, Telemark, on 13 May 1849 and arrived in New York on 2 Jul 1949. They came to Sugar Creek Township, Walworth County, Wisconsin. Moved to Newark Valley Township, Adams County, by 1860. Civil War: Farmer. Age 41. Blue eyes, brown hair, fair complexion, 5’7”. Drafted. Enrolled for one year on 26 Sep 1864 at La Crosse, Wisconsin. Enrollment credited to Newark Valley, Adams County. Mustered at La Crosse the same day. Private. Mustered out 2 Jun 1865.
