Enlisted for three years on 14 Aug 1862 at Viroqua, Wisconsin. Mustered 14 Sep 1862 at La Crosse, Wisconsin. Private. “Is a Norwegian by birth. Only a short time in this country when he enlisted. Was well drilled in Norway, is a good scholar in his own language. Has been absent sick considerably but was with us from Atlanta till he was mustered out.
