He came to America with his parents, four siblings and his grandmother on the “Columbo”, which sailed from Havre, France, and arrived in New York on 29 Aug 1846. Civil War: Farmer. Age 35. Gray eyes, light hair, dark complexion, 5’7¾”. Volunteer. Enlisted for two years on 2 Aug 1864 at Janesville, Wisconsin. Bounty $200. Mustered the same day. Private. He died of disease on 25 Feb 1865 at the general hospital in Keokuk, Iowa.
