Sick in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 28 Nov 1863. Seriously wounded in both legs at New Hope Church, Georgia, 27 May 1864, and sent to hospital. Mustered out with H Company 13 Feb 1865 at Chattanooga. Andrew, Ole and Stephen Fosse were brothers. Post war: He went to Kendall County, Illinois. Married on 26 Feb 1867 to Anna Askildson. Two children. Died 6 Jun 1881 in Lisbon Township, Kendall County, Illinois. Buried 9 Jun 1881 in West Lisbon Lutheran Churchyard.
