Taken prisoner at New Hope Church, Georgia, 27 May 1864. He is on a list of Andersonville prisoners of war. Assigned to Company H 10 Feb 1865. Temporarily assigned to the Wisconsin 24th Infantry. Transferred to WI 13th Inf Co I on 10 Jun 1865. Mustered out 24 1865 at San Antonio, Texas.
