HARRISON, Harris

MN Lt Arty 2nd Battery. Residence: St. Cloud, Goodhue County, Minnesota. Born 7 Apr 1835 in Vinje, Telemarken, Norway. Civil War: Age 26. Enrolled 13 Mar 1862. Mustered at Fort Snelling, Minnesota, date not shown. Artificer (a skilled and specialized mechanic). He was also a bugler, and he was a Captain’s Aide. Re-enlisted 22 Mar 1864. Discharged from the service with his battery, 16 Aug 1865. Post war: Lived at Webster, South Dakota. “Harry Harrison” of Little Falls, Morrison County, Minnesota, was granted a pension of $8 a month because of a gunshot wound to his left shoulder.
