WI 38th Inf Co A. Residence: Palmyra, Jefferson County, Wisconsin. Born in Norway. Civil War: Farmer. Age 37. Married. Blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5’6”. Enlisted for three years on 31 Mar 1864 at Palmyra. Mustered 16 Apr 1864 at Madison, Wisconsin. Private. “With Company until Sept. 30, 1864, when he was severely wounded in the Battle of Poplar Spring Church. Since absent.” Discharged 20 May 1865. Post war: A man named Harrison, Ole, living in Hartland township, Freeborn county, Minnesota, was granted a pension of $8 a month because of gun shot wounds to both thighs.
