KS 8th Cav Co ?. Born 13 Mar 1836 at Overhall, Nord Trøndelaf, Norway, son of Mathias Lorentsen Himo and Elen Svensdatter Rygh. He came to America at age 10, traveling with his parents and two siblings on the “Juno”, arriving in New York from Bergen on 18 Jun 1846. They came to Norway Township, Racine County, Wisconsin.
