Enlisted for three years on 29 Feb 1864 at Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Mustered 23 Mar 1864 at Camp Randall, Madison, Wisconsin. Private. Wounded in his right hand during the battle of Cold Harbor, Virginia, on 2 Jun 1864. Discharged for disability on 4 May 1865 at White Hall Hospital. “A good soldier.” Post war: Married Lina Jenson.
