Mustered 1 Sep 1862 at Camp Utley, Racine, Wisconsin. Private. Killed in action at Peach Tree Creek on 20 Jul 1864. Shot in the head. “He stood beside me when a bullet struck him in the head and he died instantly”, wrote Thomas Simonson.
